I recently saw a laptop in good condition at a garage sale. The price was right, so I decided to pick it up.
Now here's the weird part: When I boot it up, it shows the motherboard splashscreen, but instead of Windows startup I see a bunch of brown scrawl marks and the word "ubuntu." The XP login screen is nowhere to be found.
Is this laptop infected with some sort of new virus? If so, how do I remove it? I'm a little worried about it spreading, because I already hooked the laptop into the LAN before starting it. Please help me; I don't want anything bad happening to our other computers.
