Alternative torrent downloaders

I like the original Bittorrent with the way the download has it's own happy window and just does its own thing.  Azureus is nice, but it's like giving a Hummer to a guy that only needs a VW Beetle.

Can anyone recommend a stable program somewhere in the middle ground between the two?

If you're running on Windows, utorrent is quite good, and it doesn't even need to be installed--just place it on your desktop and run it from there.  www.utorrent.com

Why not use BitTorrent? It's still around, and they've updated it.

btlaunchmanycurses .

It's an ncurses version of BitTorrent. Launch it from the dir you're keeping the torrent files and downloads in, or replace "." with the dir name. (I'm using the Linux ver, Redmondoids may handle a bit differently)
