Azureus sucks sure it has good features, but it's slow and it's written in JAVA, which means it's a BLOATED PIECE OF SHIT.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-30 20:23

yeah azureus eats RAM like it's firefox, utorrent is sexy and will probably get you laid. Most likely against your will.

Look it up in the Wikipedia, dumbass.

Enjoy your spyware, guys.

utorrent sucks. it has an internal download cap. azureus consistently maxes out my connection.

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 7:06

utorrent all the way. there's no reason for azureus. well, maybe if you want to clog up your pc for no reason.

Maybe some of us don't use Windows/don't want to use unfree software?

yeah, i didn't really like the uTorrent internal transfer cap.

i remember that caused a bunch of shit when it first came out. although besides that, its an excellent client.

personally, i prefer azureus, only for the reasons that 1) it supports encryption and 2) i only brought my mac to college.

yes, its bloated, but my computer can handle it perfectly fine. although if i can ever get uTorrent working or crossover, i -might- use that instead.

although, personally, on my PC back home, i was in love with ABC.

it rocks, but its rather old now.

uTorrent is associated with PeerFactor SARL, a french company with close ties to RetSpan, a french anti-piracy organization. Because of that, and since utorrent will definitely stay closed-source, it is very safe to assume that utorrent will try to pull some stupid shit in the future.
