auto-hide taskbar; choppy

Anyone know how to tweak XP so that the (auto-hidden) taskbar rolls out smoothly instead of just jumping out? Tried looking in tweakUI, googled a bit, and even F1'd (as well as deleting system32, formatting c: and doing a barrel roll)

It's one of these animation/effects registry settings, I believe it was a bit field (i.e. flags in a DWORD) in HKCU\..somewhere..\Desktop or HKCU\..somewhere..\Control Panel.
