sharing internet connection

If I wanted to share my (cable) internet connection at my house between multiple computers, would I need a router, hub, or switch? I don't need anything like traffic shaping or hardware firewalls, but it would be good if IP addresses were automatically configured. So which would I need?

It depends on how many computers. For 2 to 4, use a Router and enable DHCP.
