Help, I'ma  computer newbie so I do not know what I'm doing. I was told that it was best to upgrade my bios, but I do not know how. All I know is that I am on a GA-K8NS(rev.2.0) AMD Socket 754 Processor Motherboard. I don't know where to download and how to upgrade. Help please, thanks a lot. Also, how do you check if your Ram is working properly or not?

Who told you to upgrade your BIOS and why?
The Serial on your Mobo means it's an ASUS right?  Well, if you really do need to upgrade your BIOS go to the ASUS site - they have BIOS upgrades there and have instructions on how to flash your BIOS.
As for your RAM,  well it should do a basic check on the RAM during bootup to see if it's functioning - just see what number it reaches on the screen just after you start up and before it boots windows - if that number (usually in bytes or Kb) matches the amount of RAM you know you have, then at the very least you know that it's all seated correctly on your card and has passed the BIOS check.  If you want more detailed stuff on your RAM (latency etc) then you'll have to start learning, and then go out & get some software tools.
