Task Manager in OSX?

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-11 17:07

Is there a 'Task Manager' or similar tool on the Mac OS X that shows all processes, memory usage, and such?

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-11 17:15

oh, i didn't know you needed something on mac's because all your apps need zero memory and you have more than enough anyway...
and i mean programs don't use any of their huge processing power either, or why else would you want to know what is running ?

macs fail, mac users fail harder !

If it were me, I'd use what I already have:
ps -ax and top

guys, macs are only good for one thing and it's called photoshop.
Homosexuals use it as part of their wardrobe too, but lets limit the discussion to technical things.

Thanks, I'll go back to my rock-solid Linux.

Any OS runs Photoshop, and it will be faster than when using Mac.

Lunix is for basement dwellers without a life. OSX is if you want some unixy shit to finally work. </troll>

Talking about which, how many people here have seen the screenshots from the Vista betas? Holy fuck is that one ugly OS.

I'm afraid I haven't, I'm not interested in shitty OSes.  The only screenshot I saw was one where some stupid Gnome/Mac-esque sidebar was covering half of the screen, and all it had was an analog clock.

LOL because you can't add other stuff to it.

I don't think you got my point -- I wanted the sidebar to go the fuck away.  I use about 98% of my screen real estate for applications, and the rest for a small taskbar or whatever that keeps all stupid stuff like calendars, etc..  The left side of the screen has a terminal emulator, and the right a browser.  I need nothing more, and can do with nothing less.

Yes, I use Mac OS X. So? I dont see any problem. I embraced my Switcher soul long ago and I am happy together with my Mac (that is a 20" Intel iMac!). I have a fucking lot of hype in and outside of Macworld and my graphics are pretty cool and smooth.

But thanks anyway asshole. Go and use your stupid Windows while I SPOTLIGHT my porn.
