Argh, I need help. My brother fucked up his pc by installing Guild Wars(I know, it's weird. He was installing it form the retail CD, and I can install it on my PC perfectly) Anyway, whenever it starts up, is say OPTIPLEX GX240, and the barfills up to about 1/4th, and freezes. I really wanna know how to fix this, so I don't have to share my PC with him. Help please.

whats your OS? repair install of windows is always a good bet since it wont wreck your shit and it might fix it if some important files got it in the pooper

Anyway, if it's not getting past the Optiplex boot screen, it means the computer itself is fucked up, not your Windows. Look for the four diagnostic lights (round the back of the computer, labelled A, B, C and D on the GX240, IIRC). They should all be green when the machine is running as it should. If any of them are orange or off, time to call Dell.
