weird firefox problem

it won't save animated .gif's, it just displays the first picture in the animation when I open it in a new tab, and it will only save that frame as a .gif

i had to use IE to actually save the full sequence of .gif's, how do i fix this?

about:config , image.animationmode, set to "once", but it shouldn't affect saves... Make sure your cache is not polluted with a truncated copy by loading the GIF file and hitting Ctrl+Shift+R.
