resuming download

hello- i'm currently on a 56k connection and am trying to download a 400mb file. i left the download going for a few hours yesterday and it got to around 17% before my connection was cut.

is it possible to resume the download where i left off? i don't want to start all over again :x if it is possible, how do i go about it? i'm on windows xp-

I've had a download from IE resume before, but I have NO idea how I did it.

Anyway, you need a download manager.  Get a program called WinWget.  It's based off the unix wget command, so there's a lot of options, but it's not hard to learn the basics.  It supports resumes and stuff, you'll like it.
