anyone have maya 8 through a torrent that requiered you to do some manual cracking? did you get it to work? i can't seem to. i edit the aw.dat file correctly, and when i install the licence it says it installed correctly, but then when i reboot and try maya, it gives me the same configuration page used to install the licence. it just keeps looping me, making another aw.dat file each time i install it (aw1.dat, aw2.dat etc...)
there's an instruction saying i gotta go to the run utility and type in 'awkeygen.exe aw.dat' but it doesn't do anything. can someone help?

mine works fine. are you copying your info correctly like it tells you? the best way to do the awkeygen.exe stuff is just to drag the aw.day on top of it. also, be sure that your FlexLM folder is in C:\ it cannot be anywhere else. So no matter where your maya is installed to, flexlm must be in C:\
