Transporting computer.

So /comp/, I'm going back to college soon and I just recently got a Windoze Box.  Problem is, I'm not sure what the best way of transporting it is.  It's gonna have to go through a plane one way or another because I live over seas.

How should I go about it?  Should I have it be checked baggage and make sure to pad it really well?

Should I ship it through mail?

Or should I dismantle it and THEN have it be checked baggage/have it shipped to me.

Fuck you asshole.  It's not a laptop, it's a desktop computer, and it's pretty fuckin' big.  Not exactly carry-on luggage, moron.

X-ray your computer

i'd say dismantle it as much as is convenient, and pad it like you would if you wanted it to survive an attack by godzilla.  then either have it shipped or check it at the airport, whichever you trust more (it's probably going on a plane either way).
