Snooping Dad

Okay, so my dad has been somehow viewing the time at which i visit sites and which ones i am visiting, but only doing so remotely from his PC, and he has admin rights on the router. Is there any way I can securely browse to preserve privacy? I've tried TorPark but its way too slow.

Have you tried anonymizer.com? It might make you more anonymous. TorPack? Is that some pre-packaged Tor stuff? Maybe there is some setting that needs to be tweacked. Or run a packet sniffer like Ethereal and get his PW for the router, and see if you can make minor rule changes he won't notice. And how would he know how long you spend at a site? An http GET request happens very quickly.

Ok, just so you know, your dad isn't some jackoff who doesn't know what the hell he's doing.  I doubt that he's a pro ('cause you'd have mentioned that), but he's not stupid either.

Tor notwithstanding, you're only practical option is to find an alternate connection means, like say... a college computer or a library computer... or maybe a neighbor's computer.  These are probably not good ideas either for a similar reason.

At any rate, do not attempt to change his settings... if he knows how to do what little he is doing, then I guarentee that he will be paranoid enough to frequently check his settings to make sure noone has screwed with them.
