WinXP + Fedora 5 on NT Boot Loader

Hi people. As the title says, I want to dual boot using NT Boot Loader. Windows will be in my first HD, FC5 will be in the second one. Could you post some guides? I'd really appreciate it if you provided a link to a useful tutorial. So far, the best I could find was http://www.packetwatch.net/documents/guides/misc/multi-boot.php , which deals with Fedora Core 3, but I'm afraid to use it because things may have changed and it'll fuck things when used with FC5. Why does it have to be the NT boot loader? What's wrong with grub?

Because it's easier to install another distro. Last time I tried changing distros, I fucked up my MBR... yes, I'm a noob in these matters (and to the whole Linux scene for that matter). I obviously did something wrong, but it's possible to change distros keeping the boot sector (or possibly changing it without rendering it unusable)?

Use the FreeBSD bootloader. It handles multiple Linux + Windows with no problem.

But then we'd go back to the issue of having my MBR rewritten. But never mind, I've found multiple approaches to this issue. While they don't really cover my needs, I think I'll be able to put the pieces together and make it work. Thanks anyway.

Make lilo/grub write to the superblock, dd the first 512 bytes off the partition with your linux install, and copy the resulting file onto NTFS somewhere. Edit msdos.sys, and away you go.
