I'm trying to compress some ZOMG HUGE tv shows I recorded with Media Center.
My process is:
1. AutoDVR Converter to turn DVR-MS to MPG files.
2. VirtualDubMod to cut out commercials/edit.
3. Using DivX codec for video processing.
4. Using Lame ACMset to CBR 192kbb for audio compression.
I have a few questions.
1. My audio is out of sync. I thought using CBR would prevent that from happening. How do I fix this/what codec is better than MP3?
2. My video source (NTSC TV) is interlaced right? Should I deinterlace with a filter during encoding, or let FFDShow do it as a post-processing filter during playback.
3. Is it worth going to H.264? If so, what should I know?
