Hello all, you may remember me from my Road Runner connection problems a few months back. I was getting shitty speed then, but I figured out how to configure uTorrent properly.
Anyway, since then, I bought a notebook and a wireless router to share Interwebs. It's worked fine; all I had to do to get it to like uTorrent is forward ports 6881-6889. However, recently, I upgraded the firmware for the router (hoping it would prevent me from resetting the router every few days: another annoying problem). uTorrent worked fine for a few days after that, but once again, I am encountering problems. The red sign in uTorrent taskbar tells me that my firewall is blocking incoming connections OR my ports aren't forwarded correctly. I've already made sure that my router has those ports open. I've tried turning on (and off, to experiment) UPnP mapping (which my router says it's compatible with). The only thing I can think of is to restore my router to it's default firmware version (assuming I can do this by Restoring to Factory Settings). And as the title says, it's a Linksys.
Any help before I give Rex a call?
