Firefox was working fine just a week ago. I turned off my laptop for about 5 days and when I opened up Firefox all my bookmarks were gone and all the engines in the search engine box were cleared. Im not really worried about my bookmarks as I can get them back eventually however when I try to install new engines they don't show up at all. Ive uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but its the same problem. Any ideas?
But otherwise, "move" the mozilla folders in application data and local settings/application data to somewhere else temporarily
It'll clear any and all settings in mozilla causing it to revert to default, maybe then you'll be able to add your engines again

god im having that problem right now as well... im considering wiping just to get rid of the problem (to extreme I know but you dodnt know how frustrating that problem is. and no im not moving browser till i see another one that i like

Don't wipe, just delete all the mozilla/firefox folders and registry settings and reinstall it.
