Duplicate Images

Looking for a GOOD duplicate image detector.

Currently using DupDetector; it's good, but it doesn't compare gifs (I have to go through all my pics to rename them to .pngs which can get annoying) and of course, can't compare animated gifs, and it often miscounts files in folders even when ALL of the files are compatible with DupDetector (the folder I'm trying to dupe detect only has PNG, JPG, and BMPs, all supported, and somehow DupDetector is undercounting the files by 250 images).


So... what do you guys use?

I don't get obsessive compulsive over my 120,000 image collection of shitting dick nipples hentai and just use CloneSpy to get hash duplicates.

No, they work fairly similar. The problem is that DupDetector's interface is so amazingly braindead that it makes sorting through large numbers of images a real chore.

For example, filesize is not that great an indicator of image quality, because jpeg has some particularly noticable artifacts (large blocks) near lines that higher compression (smaller sizes) do not have because of increased noise at the edges masking the effect.

In order to determine which jpeg is perceptually better, you have to visually inspect the image at a pixel level. You can't afford to resize and view. Now, can you think of a convenient way to compare two mid to large images side by side in DupDetector without resizing? IIRC, the only way to do it was to right-click on the images and open an external image viewer, then alt tab. That is just fucking dumb.
