Computer died, need help.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-22 20:29

This evening, I had some bad thunderstorms in my area. In fear of my computer getting fried, I unplugged the entire power strip that gets power to my computer and all my peripherals. After the storm I plug back in the power strip and attempt to turn on my computer. Nothing happens.

I try different power outlets and a different power cord. I then try to switch the power and the reset switch that's connected to my mother board. Success! So I put my case back together and attempt to power it on again. It doesn't turn on. So I take my computer apart again only plugging in the mobo. It turns on. I continue adding parts. I first add my hard drives and it powers fine. I then insert my video card and it doesn't turn on ever again.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do?

I was actually thinking about doing that even though it really wasn't storming at the time I plugged everything back in.
