local network sniff

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-19 8:25

i need to sniff local traffic between installed applications

unsuprisngly ethereal only captures traffic from the network card, but i need a sniffer that gets local traffic that doesn't even reach it..

any ideas how?

Don't really get what you're trying to do. Are you trying to sniff out the system messages, com+ objects, kernel flags and .NET remoting that your application uses or you just want to sniff your network packets? If the network you're using is a switched network lol good luck trying to do that without resorting to attacking the switch and making them all reset to hub.
