recommended graphics card for

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 18:56

Finally upgrading PC for both games & photoshop.  Bought new motherboard, CPU & RAM, need a graphics card now.  Recommendations??  I'm very noobish doing this, and I don't have too much to spend, $200 is my limit but I'm most comfortable buying something around $130 or so.

OS: Windows XP

CPU:
Intel Pentium D Dual-Core Processor 805 Box;
2 x 1MB L2 Cache; 2.66GHz; 533FSB

Motherboard: ECS RC410L/800-M (V2.0)
Support Intel Pentium 4 HT Processor 800MHz FSB and DDR2 667

RAM:
Two "1 gig" sticks of RAM;
DD2 2GB PC5300 Patriot (2x1gb) Speed 667MHz

I'm trying to buy things at a budget, gaming isn't that important to me.
The CPU & Motherboard were bought at a combo price, both for $129.  Plus $35 Warranty for them.
The two sticks of RAM were $139 for both with a $20 Mail-in Rebate.
This should give you an idea of my price range and what I'm willing to spend for a graphics card.  I bought them last night at Fry's on sale, have the reciept still and they're all unopened. I can return them within 14 no problem, if you guys can point out a better deal, but I prefer stores I can walk into rather than online retailers I have to wait weeks for things to happen.

Again I'm looking for a good graphics card that'll let me play games nicely.

Thank you very much
