Embedded Album Art vs Folder Art

I want /comp/'s opinion on my idea.

I want embedded album art for my portable player. (I'm the same dude as the WMP11 thread.) However, embedding the same information into each song on my PC does seem wasteful even if its only a few kilobytes.

I was thinking of making a script to run after syncing with WMP that will take the AlbumArt_{Blah, Blah, UID}_Large.jpg file and embed it into the matching file on the portable.

Is there a better way? (No iTunes please.)

I don't use album art or visualisiations. It's music, listen to it.

I just use the folder.jpg method. Foobar2000 and my superior creative player have no issues with this. Even the PSP works fine with this method.

Yes this is the best to do. If your player can't manage that, get rid of that shit.
