TV Output

So I've had my computer outputting to my TV nicely for at least a few weeks now.  I'm using a Geforce 4 Ti4200 with s-video out with full-screen video sent to my TV to accomplish this, with the 77.77 forceware(?) drivers.  Anyways, everything is pretty nice, except that I almost always have to go into the TV output selection in the tray menu and change the overscan to "make the desktop smaller on the tv" so that I can see the full frames of the video.  By default, it makes it bigger so that the edges of the video are off the screen (all 4 sides).  This is especially annoying when there are subtitles since they are cut off on the sides if too long and if they are more than 1 row I only see the first row.

I tried making some changes to default settings, but it will always opt for the "bigger" mode everytime I open a new video.

Any ideas?  I tried googling, but couldn't come up with anything useful.

Use TVTool, it remembers stuff.
