FireFox, Noscript and Windows Media problem

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-06 14:04

Ok here is a task for /comp/

(no bitching about FF please)

I do not want to allow Javascript via NoScript everytime I want to watch streamed WMVs.
But if I don't allow it fucking WMP gives me
"Illegal Operation in Plugin Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library"

How do I disable the Windows Media Player in FF.
I havent found one way yet to do it, even renaming the plugin dlls.

No matter if the videos are not embedded I just want to prevent FF from crashing from that error.

I reinstalled MediaPlayerConnectivity but now it doesn'T work anymore.
No black clickable placeholder anymore. WMP fucked it up.

The "VideoDownloader" Plugin works nice and I have several other better players to play WMV and even StreamDown...

so how do I get rid of it and stop it from automatically fucking everything up?

thank you /comp/
