ITT Opera whining

-Address bar "I'm Feeling Lucky"
-Reload within 4chan frame, not the board list (also occurs in Minefield)
-Change default dictionary from Answers.com
-Adblock
-Autofill in address bar
-Make World4Ch not broken? (I see a huge pastel orange box to my left right now "Choose a posticon: Posticons are disabled.")

Every cool Opera "fix" seems to involve massive amounts of ini coding and command line programs. What the fuck is up with that? I thought Firefox was supposed to be the difficult, unusable, OSS program.

1. meh, send them a feature request
2. happens to me sometimes
3. meh, carefactor
4. yeah, 9.0 apparently has it or something
5. umm.. you have arrows on your keyboard, push down?
6. everything's fine here

Firefox was supposed to be the difficult, unusable, OSS program.
Since when is OSS difficult and unusable? Ok, it used to be, 10 years ago, but now it's much simpler, neater, easier, and quicker than commercial professional object-oriented bloatware solutions.

I was only kidding, but in general, OSS is for enthusiast Windows users. This is still true. Look at any of the top programs on Sourceforge. They're either P2P or exclusively for enthusiasts.

Could your response be more useless? It's not even that it's unhelpful, it's just devoid of any content at all.

>>6. everything's fine here
Create a thread, not Reply.

So what is content then? More whining?

1. That's one thing in default FF I really hate.
2. Yes, this is annoying.
3. Never use it, but I agree.
4. Opera 9.0, or Opera Ad Filter.
5. Push the down key.
6. Never seen it.

Content is anything but saying "eh" "whatever" "so what" who cares?" "i dont like that" "code your own browser."

Eat some dicks, world4ch. You're fucking useless. If you were really Opera fans you'd know the answers to my problems. At least with Firefox fanboys they can help you.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-06 1:01

Reread >>1 carefully. The only request for help is related to world4ch's sidebar. You get what you ask for.

Also, world4ch is dead. This is 4chan.

So, your argument is that I didn't put question marks besides the things I wanted to change?

You people are fucking retarded. You should be on Politics, not Computers. You know nothing about computers.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-06 1:54 (sage)

Boo hoo. Do you want some cheese with that?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-06 3:25

Opera is overrated by its tiny cult of elitist fanboys. Give up.

Firefox is gradually becoming overengineered, and they're breaking features that used to be nice. For example incremental search, I hate the way it works now.

Konq is alright, but too tied in to KDE. Anyone wanna make a standalone KHTML based browser in some lightweight toolkit? FLTK perhaps? I'd use it.

Firefox is gradually becoming overengineered

I use FF, but god is this off. It's been overengineered from the get go. Doesn't anyone remember the original reason for FF?

If XUL isn't the pinnacle of overengineering, then nothing is. I'm not the only one who says this either; some of the original FF devs left when they realised the direction it was going, long before 1.0 was reached.

I love the upstraight use of facts as arguments instead of personal opinions ITT.

I would like to set things straight: people here are wrong. Opera is awesome.
