IBM Thinkpads

Are IBM (Lenovo) Thinkpads still the dogs bollocks? The dependable, reliable, solid machines like the used to be? Or are all laptop brands more or less sameish these days?

I had one for a few months (until it was stolen) and I had nothing but good experiences from it.

There's a general feel of good workmanship about them, they're really sturdy and the keyboard is super silky to type on. I'm deciding on a replacement now, and even though, bang-for-buck, the specs on other machines are better, I'm tempted to stick with the Thinkpad due to the niceness of owning one.

I have a T42
Good laptop, but there was a problem with mine, the battery feels loose.  Other than that it is great!

T60 FTW. Have it for three months now. Rocks like crazy. GTB!
