Windows XP 64-bit Thumbnail Caching

Hi,

I have recently bought a new pc and have found that it does not create a thumbnail cache for images or videos. I have made sure the tick box 'Do not cache thumbnails' under folder options is unchecked and this still makes no difference. Is it anything to do with me having a 64-bit operating system or that I have 2 graphics cards using the SLI thingy.

Try installing irfanview or reinstalling windows media and fax viewer.

thanks, ive installed irfanview and i prefer it more than the windows interface for thumbnailing. but is there a way of getting it to save the tumbnail cache it creates for a folder because it reloads all the thumbnails whenever you next use it and this can take time on larger folders. also ive installed all the plugins but it still wont preview WMV files. Thanks again.

p.s. any other image/video thumbnailing apps out there?
