Keyboard No Worky

I don't know what happened but my keyboard stopped working.  For a brief moment when the computer is starting, I see a message that I have no keyboard.  I used a spare and restarted but that too doesn't get detected.  Help me /comp/.  :(

It isn't the keyboard but where it's plugged in. Doesn't take guru to figure that out.

Seconded. Or then your mobo's keyboard connector or even the keyboard controller has died. Try flexing the connector and if it doesn't work, try with another mobo.

There's nothing wrong with USB peripherals. What's a bad idea is those awful USB modems some ISPs distribute.

usb keyboards don't have bizarre limits on what keys you can press and when. They have their uses. For normal typing they're kind of stupid but if you're gaming it's good to have USB

I hate these limits too, but BTW, they're an issue with the keyboard itself. It doesn't have anything to do with the bus you are using.
