Firefox bookmarks

So I booted my computer this morning and all of my bookmarks in Firefox are gone.  Not a single one left.  Anyone know what happened or a way to possibly recover them? 

I dont really feel like getting them all again as it will be a huge pain.

You have to go to C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\x0lewp8r.default\bookmarkbackups. the x01ewp8r.default might be named something different, but it was the only folder in my profiles folder since I only ever used one profile. And I take it your using windows, and if not... I have no clue how to get them back.
