Playing Jap Games on Windows XP

Ok so I recently downloaded a doujin game and am looking to dl some others. My question is how do I play them on my computer? I tried installing it once and it came back with something about system32, it was a while ago.

App Locale or change ur regional setting in control panel to japanese and all unicode char to japanese
