Best monitor or display for console gaming

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-17 15:22

I have a hyundai L90D+ monitor for my computer. I like it alot and it makes me hate all CRT displays, including my television that I used for console gaming.

After reading for a while, it seems that I can only play games that have progressive scan on this monitor via a conversion box. Games that don't have progressive scan can not be played unless I have an 'analog upscan device'.

It seems that in order to play any console game, I will need a TV. I would like an LCD display. No more CRT because I can't bear looking at it anymore. I don't want to spend more then $350 dollars + tax. I would also like a 15"-19" display. [Larger the better]. I presume ghosting may be a problem on LCD TVs. Anyone know?

Relevant to my interests, shot the web, corm, hello thar, I'm in your thread, etc.

Fag, you either fail at setting your refresh rate or are a TFT wanker snob. Either way, you are clueless.

Oooh, but it looks like those monitars from sci-fi movies!

Get a tv capture card. ATI makes some that are pretty decent, though their software usually leaves some room for improvement. If you like your monitor so much, don't fuck with perfection

TV card software leaves much to be desired 99% of the times.
