Bittorrent - How to be sneaky?

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-16 19:01

I was wondering if there was any way to cover my tracks when using bittorent (and other programs?), so that some techy fanboy would never be able to tell that I used bittorrent an hour ago.  Or at least have a harder time.
I don't know how this stuff works :/

Put your HD and RAM in boiling lava after every use.  You might want to do the same to the CPU if there's any residue of the data there... the monitor too of course... and I imagine you could get quite a lot of information from a keyboard... better toss everything in lava.

Actually, I'm not sure lava would be enough.  Try getting ahold of some antimatter and see what you can do.

HaHaOnlySerious.

Secrecy is tricky :/

use a VPN with a service like findnot.com

using a VPN will GREATLY reduce throughput though, and you don't have access to many ports at all.  so only use one if you are absolutely hellbent on hiding your activity from that techy fanboy.

Thanks for your suggestions (even the lava guy) <3
I'm going to check out VPNS, ask some different techy fanboys and such.
Also, I might be able to get some super cleaning programs to help erase evidence.  Right now I have Tune Up Utilities, 1-Click Maintenance, and CCleaner (the free one).  These give me some feeling of security at least, but I don't know if they actually work.  Any opinions?  Are these super cool or can I do better?

You are stupid. Bittorrent connects to everyone it can find. If the 4chan Party Van is outside with a 1.2gb copy of "CP party mix" you're going to connect to them and be like "HEY GUYS I WANT TO DOWNLOAD THIS FROM YUO HERE IS MY IP"

Then you're fucked

You can use utorrent, and then just delete the utorrent program easily because it is merely a PE that creates a few shortcuts to itself on first execution. Unless you mean what >>5 is talking about, not having your IP see, but it would only be seen by someone else with the same torrent...
