How do I got sound to work in Linux version of Macromedia Flash? There's no sound in .swf files when I'm in Linux, regardless which browser I'm using.
Sound works in every other application I've ever run in Linux. Is there a genuine bug in Flash or do I have to do something in some config file somewhere that I don't know about?
Flash works much better using WINE. You'll get Flash 8 animations running, too. Personally, I'm waiting for Flash 8.5 which will be released both for win32 and Linux. I also hope that some free software Flash player matures enough to be useful (http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/). Also, there's an interesting blog by an Adobe developer: http://www.kaourantin.net/

I don't know what the fuck happened, but I lost sound too and just reinstalled it on linux. I think it broke in one of the firefox updates or some shit.
