OpenOffice Calc question

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-11 7:00

I'm trying to use OpenOffice Calc instead of Excel, but it fails the simplest feature without which it's just crap for me, because what I need to do almost always depends on it.

When you select cells in Excel and Shift+drag them, you can cut and insert them to another row or column very easily. For example, in a list, you can take a row, and use Shift+drag to move it before another row, without replacing it (it's inserted) and without leaving a blank row where it was (it's removed).

How do I do that simple stupid thing in OO Calc? I've been looking for like 15 minutes and I'm pissed off. Having to manually insert a row, cut, paste, and delete the old row is crap, and that's just for a word, imagine a rectangular selection in the middle of a sheet.
