Opera spam?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-29 12:14

What's with the recent spat of www.opera.com replies to threads that have nothing to do with browsers at all?
Have the furryfox evangelists resorted to masquerading as opera users and spamming www.opera.com as a reply to everything in the hope that people will mistake these retards as legitimate opera users? 'cos if they're doing that, they're not trying hard enough.

Discuss.

My thoughts exactly. Why can't people who use Firefox just use it and stop trying to discredit people who made a different choice based on their needs?

Opera sucks sure there's an ebuild for opera but it just get dropped to /opt, it's statically linked, and it's CLOSED SOURCE, which means that it is a BINARY package.

I'm not so sure. Firefox Crusaders are usually quite unwilling to even mention other browsers at all.

We Firefox users have no reason to advertise anymore. The Opera users are the ones that are in need of it. Sadly all the advertising in the world won't help them as the browser sucks ใงใ™. I mean, srsly, dropping it into /opt/? That's pretty bad.

I'm a Firefox crusader.

Different choices based on their needs:
Opera: Respectable. You may want a faster/less bloated/smaller browser with a fixed but reasonably large set of features, that's Opera.
MSIE: Lol are you retarded? Or do you need malware?

I've never compiled my Firefox. I would still use it if it were closed sauce like Opera. CFLAGS went that way.

Let's see... Before this line, I mentioned Firefox two times, and Opera three times.

Oh and listen Lunix users by the way: I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR PISS RETARDED ABORT OF A DIRECTORY STRUCTURE!!! /opt? /usr/douche? Fuck that shit!

I install Firefox and Opera in /Software (yes, with an uppercase S, zOMG I'm a heretic!), and don't give half a turd about the piece of shit Unix directories are, I'd rather have a fetus shoved up my ass then raped by George Zimmer while it's still in! Hey FHS, I don't like my applications to spawn half a dozen directories you dumb son of a bitch! Who the fuck could fart that motherfucking bullshit?

VROOM VROOM!!

I install Firefox and Opera in /Software
Why do you care, or rather why do you think you should care about where things go? Use a sane package manager! There is no reason to know where a program is as long as it is in your PATH.

I'd like to have a fetus shoved up my ass then raped by George Zimmer while it's still in!
Same here!

I care because I'm not a stupid luser to pres butan run program then if something doesn't work I format. I rule over my computer and I decide where cock and everything else go. Another reason is security. I am concerned with the security and reliability of my machine, not to the point of being paranoid (for example, I have "." first in my path, fucking Unix people), but knowing what do I have and where it is is fucking basic.
