Thief counter measures

I currently own a laptop (MS XP) and read the article:

Is there a program that is recommendeded to allow remote and UNDETECTED access to a laptop if it ever gets stolen by stupid thieves (assuming that they don't know how to reformat and there is a unpassworded account) ?

Well, you could get an account (free, I think) on DYNDNS, and have your machine contantly report it's IP address to DYNDNS, a webpage that is updated with this IP address, and an account with administrative priveleges running a light, difficult-to-detect ssh server. That would get you in.
