My arms!!

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-23 20:02

recently I've been experiencing a burning aching sensation in both my forarms and elbows. I think it has something to do with my extensive computer use. What should I do?

thanks.

Stop touch typing, it sucks for the arms.

Is everyone today really too stupid to work out that if you get a pain somewhere you go and see A DOCTOR, not an internet message board about computers?

Learn Dvorak, and stop using emacs.

How is Dvorak better than QWERTY?

Get an IBM keyboard with trackpoint. That'll save you from having to go back and forth between keyboard and mouse all the time.

Also, dvorak is supposedly better than qwerty because it allows you to reduce finger movements in most cases, but this has been debated.

I don't keep my fingers on the home row all the time. Mainly just WASD out of necessity for gaming. I realize that the W is on the row, but that's the only finger on it.

Actually of the four keys you listed, W is the only one that isn't on the home row.
