a few days ago i tried to install the latest version of iTunes. It seemed to install and all that but now itunes wont start up at all. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall with this version and i tried downloading older versions but to no avail. Apple.com said to delete "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info" which i did. Which didnt help. Can anybody here please save meh?

The only way to save it is to kill it.

there's a plugin called ml_ipod for winamp. use it. it's far superior. iTunes is the devil, and Quicktime is it's inseperable siamese twin of evil.

Google Anapod. Faster and more stable.

Amarok is superior.

Great justice has been dealt to you for using iTunes.

>>7 agreed, you can even copy songs from ipod to hard drive using ml_ipod, something that iTunes doesnt allow

Another vote in for ml_ipod.  I was a slave to iTunes for a while.  Although I knew I was being an idiot, I was loath to switch to another program, being so used to iTunes already.  ml_ipod showed me the fucking way, it's so much better I never had a single reason to look back to iTunes ever again.
