so im formatting my HD to install XP, and everythings going great. when im giving it the NTFS file system, it gets to 100 % and says its corrupt or something retarded liek that and makes me do it over again. but it never works. ive tried 2 xp disks and 2 HD's.

Maybe your disc is corrupt? Discs are shit, so are CD drives. learn this.
Try doing a checkup with your HDD manufacturer's discs, from their website. It will almost always find disk errors that it can only fix through a full 3 hour check.

ive cornered it down to a mobo issue, actually. now i jsut gotta figure it out.
