Ok, lets examine this.
First, most of his examples for the "myths" are from places other then the Mozilla site. They can not be responsible for what other people say.

Now, lets examine the myths.

"Firefox and Mozilla are the same" - His example is a forum post. Just someone on a forum is not exactly the spokes-person for FF. It's not a myth, just a dumb person.

"Firefox has lower System Requirements than Internet Explorer" -  No where in his example does it say that. It simply says that it use's less RAM then IE when it's running.

"Firefox is the Fastest Web Browser" - Again, not from the offical site, and he never says that it's the fastest browser, just says that the speed is faster then IE.

"Firefox is Faster than Internet Explorer 6" - Again, not from offical site.

"Firefox is Faster than Internet Explorer 7" - Again, not from offical site.

"Firefox is Faster than Mozilla" - Again, not from offical site.

"Firefox Achieved 150 million downloads (2-2006)" No, the real number is 141 million. Really, big difference...

"Firefox Achieved 10% Market Share in 2005" - Congrats. You caught them rounding off...

"Firefox Achieved 20% Market Share in Europe (1-2006)" - And?? No one associated with firefox had anything to do with that survey. Blame the people that did the servey, not firefox.

"Firefox is Secure" - What people don't understand is that the more security holes are found quicker because it's open source, meaning that anyone with programing skills can look at the code and find flaws. More people looking for flaws = more flaws found = more flaws fixed. While the others are closed and you need to wait till there is a large explotation of that flaw for it to actully make it to the ears of the developers.

"Firefox is the Most Secure Web Browser" - You patch and more flaws come out, simple as that.

"Firefox is More Secure because it is not integrated into the OS" - Again, not from offical site. And ofcourse thats also why IE 7 will not be intergrated into Vista, even though MS said so themselves that it won't be intergrated because of security issues from the intergration.

"Firefox is More Secure because it does not use ActiveX" - First one off the offical site. And hmmm... this must be why almost update I see with IE is patching some kind of ActiveX flaw...

"Firefox Extensions are Safe" - A new low! Using a comment from a un-offical site! And ofcourse not all extentions will always be safe. Just like not every program you download from the internet will be safe. Theres always a risk. And hell, the extention was not even out of beta. When something is in beta, it should be understood that there will be problems with it. Thats what beta is for.

"Firefox is a Solution to Spyware" - Un-offical site, and never said that it's the solution to removing spyware. And stuff can still be Auto-installed. Hell, just about a month ago I was dumb and opened a link that said "IE only" in IE. I paid the price and spent the rest of the day removing trojans and virus's.

"Firefox is Bug Free" - A FUCKING POST ON SOME FORUM ABOUT PETS!!!! CAN'T HE FIND A REAL EXAMPLE?!?!?!? Ofcourse it's not bug free. Any smart person knows that. There is not a program that is bug free.

"Firefox's Memory Leak is a Bug" - I thought that it was all over the internet about this. Oh, and Opera does not do the same thing. It uses the HD, and then on top of that, when you click the back button, instead of doing the hand-shake with the server like most browsers do, it doesn't. Which is where the speed comes from. Unfortently, some sites will only work if you have the hand shake.

"Firefox supports Extensions and Internet Explorer does not" - First off, again, not offical site. Secound, those arn't extentions, they are tool-bars. If it could have extentions, then I could intergrate a music player into my IE. But I can't.

"Firefox was the first Web Browser to include an Integrated Search feature" - AGAIN, DOESN'T SAY THAT!!! It says that they make that feature POPULAR! Which they did. If it wasn't for FF no one else would have heard of tabbed browesing, Intergrated search, or any of that stuff.

"Firefox was the first Web Browser to include Pop-up Blocking" - Doesn't say that. Instead, like so many of the features, it was them that made it famous. There is more then one deffinition to some words.

"Firefox Blocks all Pop-ups" - Again, not offical site. And ok, so it's not the number one pop-up blocker. But last time I heard it was in the top 10 of best blockers, and I have still yet to get a pop-up.

"Firefox was the first Web Browser to include Tabbed Browsing" - Again, doesn't say that. They made it famous, thats a fact.

"The Firefox RSS icon was stolen by Microsoft for IE7" - Unoffical site.

"Firefox supports Tabbed Browsing and Internet Explorer does not" - Yea, after you install a ugly tool-bar IE supports it...

"Firefox fully supports W3C Standards - Not offical site, but FF is more complient to it's standards. Go here:
http://www.webdevout.net/browser_support_summary.php
And add up the percentages of both Opera and FF. And each "Y" equals 100%. FF has a score of 2300, while Opera has a score of 2269.

"The W3C Develops Recommendations not Standards." and "A Site that doesn't conform to W3C Standards is not a Webpage" doesn't even have anything to do with Firefox... or any browser for that matter.

"Firefox fully supports the most important W3C Standards" - Not only is the site not offical, but it is also just a hack used with a extention to BY-PASS the Acid test, not actully take it. And it also must be understood that the Acid test is not the same as the W3C Standards. I have gone through each and ever part of that test, and Firefox does support it. Why it does not work in firefox, I can't explain.

"Firefox is completely compatible with every Web Site" - IT'S FROM FUCKING APPLEGEEKS!! GET SOME REAL SOURCES FOR GODS SAKE!! And ofcourse it won't work with ActiveX sites. That is a MS only script. But luckly, there is a wounderful extention that will allow activeX to work in FF. Does opera have the same?

"Firefox supports Progressive Rendering and Internet Explorer does not" - Un-offical site.

And here are some quotes that were in reality negitive about the site, but were edited so they wern't:
"Any browser is more secure by not supporting... Firefox. All Browsers have vulnerabilities... No Browser can claim... to be 100% standards compliant" - Thomas

"the sources and data are convincing..." - Ryan J.

"It's an interesting read..." - Robert A. (Mac User)

Are you suggesting IE as best browser? I sure hope you are not.
This is about good browser vs. Good browser, not crappy browser vs good browser.
