Why does firefox image resize suck?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-10 6:17

Firefox probably uses the worst image resizing I've seen. Is there an extension or something that improves this?

It works fine for me.

it corrodes any image at all, it's utterly useless. Just turn it off >>1.

Firefox handles images like shit. I want an extension too, but I don't think there is one.

Opera displays images really well, but it lacks too many other things to be worth a switch. Someone could make an extension that exactly emulates Opera's image handling, but.. They haven't. Ask on Mozillazine, maybe something exists.

Translation: it doesn't like extensions.

A design decision I'm starting to agree with. Too bad they're now toying with the idea of widgets. :(

so you hate the idea of having more features than Opera wants to give you? That's the sort of mindset where people become annoyed when they have too many options. Sheltered childhood? Stick with IE5.5.

Either way, I found this:

I was wrong, there are extensions for Opera emulation.

Uh, no, I just don't like the shit retarded way it's been implemented in FF. All the memory leak complaints? All the crashing? Some of the stupid security holes? Yeah, good one. Gotta love that slow-ass javascript too.

Remember kids, it's not a browser, it's an application platform!

The most recent comment posted in that blog was that Opera is now free. Why no updates since then? Hahahaha!
