I want to build an awesome RAID server.  What should I go for?

Should I go with SATA or has it not evolved enough yet?  I just want a couple 200 gigs in a case.

Why wouldn't SATA be "evolved" enough yet? It outperforms everything else on the market and will be even faster when motherboards can use their full speeds (300 Gbps max for SATA 2).
