Severe packetloss

Okay, the day before April my connection turned to absolute shit. I'm connected using aDSL at (according to bandwidthplace.com) 6.4 mbps down 776 kbps up.  Not wireless.  Every few seconds it seems to just die and I can't really see a pattern.  I haven't changed anything, haven't done anything out of the ordinary that could've (that I know of) caused this.  When it does work it seems to be fine, the best example I know of to give is this;

Pinging google.com [72.14.207.99] with 32 bytes of data:

What I can't understand is that when I'm playing a game, my connection seems to be fine.  I can't really tell there's a problem, my average ping displayed stays constant.  Same deal with downloading something, I stayed at the host's upload cap for the entire download without seeing it drop (around 5minutes).

Contacted my ISP, they made me do a bunch of bullshit tests and everything seemed fine, told me that there weren't any other reports of problems in my area and there wasn't any scheduled maintenance.  I've tried a seperate router, different hard-drive, completely different setup (different computer, ethernet card/cable).  Same problem even after changing everything.  Any ideas?

Problem apparently fixed itself, my ISP was probably bullshitting me.
