How do I establish a cool online persona like Wintermute and then keep it secret enough so that only a select few know my infamy and yet no one else steals my nickname and uses it for their AOL address? I mean people can always come up with the same "handle." I choose not to have any lasting nickname for any period of time, but then I gain no infamy.
