salvaged fans

Help /comp/ , the other day my power supply got burned out after a year of continued running (almost at 24/7). After replacing it, i salvaged the old PS of its two fans (12 v each). I was thinking of mounting it an extra fan for cooling my pc when i have the case on. Question is, theres this black and red wires (red, i think is positive?) so, in the power connectors for the harddrive etc, which one is the positive and negative colors (1 red and yellow, 2 black) ? I just want to be sure (if the power supplied is sufficient or too much), I might have another fubar'd power supply.

Tip for those with an IQ less than their post number:
When asking if component X will meet requirements. Supply specifications of componetent X.

FYI,
Yellow = +12V
Red = +5V
Black = Ground
