OK my brother has apparently fucked up one of the partition on one of the harddrives (the one with all the important files of course) pretty bad.
I'm pretty sure it's not damaged since another partition on the same HD works fine.
Basically I can't access it at all and chkdsk says:
"can not verify the volume type and version. CHKDSK fail." or something close to that
I also tried PartitionMagic but it fails when I try to check for errors. In PartitionMagic it's named "?C? (E:)" while it's called "Local Disk (E:)" in Explorer. Further PM says that the damaged partition is version NTFS 0.0).
Now I'm pretty sure that if I delete the partition and recreate it I'll work again but I really don't want to loose the files I have on the partition.
So any tricks and/or software that could possibly help me?
