I was just connected to my brother's computer pulling a image off of it that I had just scanned secounds ago. And then, suddenly, I am unable to view any images. I can open them in programs like Photoshop, MS Paint, ect, but there are no thumbnails, and I can't open the image in the image viewer.
I am currently in the proccess of running virus scans in safe-mode, but I want to know if anyone here has a clue of what this may be so that I can get back to my normal computing life.
Oh, and I'm running XP pro.

Have you tried right click>open with Windows Picture Viewer and such? Checked file associations? If so, what kind of error do you get when you attempt to open with the image viewer?

I've tried all of those.
I don't get a error. Just, nothing happens. At all.
I get the hourglass cursor for just a sec, and thats it.
I've tried everything I can think of. Run scans, did system restore to yesterday.
Nothing seems to be fixing it.
And, after playing around some, what I think is that the image viewer program just... dissapeared. I don't know how, but when I use the Filmstrip mode in the explorer, the imageviewer is simple not there.

Did.
Used NOD32, Norton Corporate Edition, and Trend Micro. They all turned up with nothing at all.

Last time I used it was to get Updates. The time before that, Updates. And before that? Updates. Havn't used IE for regular browing in... about a year to two years.

Got it fixed! Someone at another forum helped me out.
