Changing account limitations on OS X ?

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-13 22:57

I was given a iBook G4 by my school, and my account is restricted

A while back, by some fluke, I was able to use applications, but when I restarted, It reverted back to the same state, anyone know if I did anything by accident that I can exploit to do this again ?

if you have physical access to a machine, anything is possible

i have no idea about ibooks, but perhaps you could boot from a livecd?

If you can get an OS X install CD, you can change the adminstrator account password.

On PCs, yes. On Apple's stuff, I don't know.

Unless they've set a block in the firmware. But what are the odds a school would think of that.

Just make an OS X boot cd
