Drempels users?

I was just wondering if anyone here has used Drempels before? Linkage be - http://www.geisswerks.com/drempels/ . It's an open source desktop tool and screensaver, and it's rather cool, with one minor niggle. It appears to resample the image and the detail quality gets sent straight down the tube. this is especially noticable when using a high detail image, like a photo or a high res scan.

Has anyone here ever used Drempels? What are your opinions about it? Is there any way to circumvent this issue? Perhaps there's an alternative program that doesn't suffer from such a problem? Either way, I'd like to hear about it.

I've used it. 'Tis cool and trippy, making the wallpaper wriggle around like my 'puter was on some good Windowpane.

But since I've only used Grateful Dead Dancing Bears wallpaper with Drempels I cannot offer a high-res opinion.
