motherboard firewire

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-16 10:27

i just bought a new case and it has a couple of firewire ports on the front.

The connector that connects to the motherboard looks identical to the usb one, and is keyed in the same place. is it safe to plug it in, or is there meant to be a seperate set of pins to plug in the firewire?

Anyway the answer is no, you silly person. If your motherboard supports firewire the manual will tell you where the pins are. If you don't have a manual download it in pdf. USB != Firewire.
